The Dallas YMCA is currently seeking a Rotating Aquatics Director. 
Job Description

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, established in 1885, consists of 16 branches and 2 destination camps - all dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected, and secure children, adults, families and communities.

We are currently seeking a Rotating Aquatics Director who will be responsible for learning how to implement and deliver YMCA Aquatics at small branches and large branches.

This role will be responsible for learning how all staff and volunteers are trained and supervised. Rotating Aquatics Director will be onboarded with the same protocol as branch Aquatic Directors. This role will be required to learn all Association policies and procedures. Rotating Aquatics Director will be expected to fill in as needed as a branch Aquatics Director when a vacancy opens and will remain in that position until it is filled or is permanently placed at the branch.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a cooperative spirit, committed to character development with staff, and demonstrate the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in dealing with staff, lay leaders, YMCA members, program participants and the general public. This candidate should have strong communication skills; verbal and written. The director should be able to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, members and program participants. The Rotating Aquatics Director should have a strong working knowledge of the rules and fundamentals for ensuring a safe aquatics environment and delivering impactful, high-quality aquatics programming.  The Rotating Aquatics Director must possess a current driver's license with acceptable record and vehicle liability insurance. Must complete a YMCA lifeguard competency swim or hold a current lifeguard certification.  The Rotating Aquatics director must have attained a Bachelor's Degree or have a minimum of 5 years aquatics leadership experience.
