Regional Director of Schools Out Programs

The Granite YMCA is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Regional Director of School Age Childcare.
Job Description

This position supports the work of The Granite Y, a leading NH nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Utilizing the organization’s current strategic plan, the incumbent oversees the School Age Childcare programming for the YMCA locations of: YMCA of Concord, The Granite YMCA of Goffstown.

This includes the supervision and development of two Program Directors and direction of their team development, collaboration with the three key support staff to ensure the highest program quality along with sustainability and growth. This position reports to the VP of Operations and acts in partnership with the Association leads to support the financial development, community relations and collaborations with school districts and community agencies.

Qualifications

Must meet or exceed the current qualifications and requirements for Site Director as set by the state of NH Child Care

Licensing Unit 

Must meet NH Child Care Licensing employment eligibility requirements 

5 or more years of supervisory experience with a minimum of 3 years of youth development program management 

At least 7 years of experience working with children in a developmental setting 

YUSA Team Leader certified or willing to obtain 

Ability to travel between program locations 

Possess strong interpersonal communication skills 

First Aid and CPR Certification within 60 days of employment 

Essential Functions

Ensure all school age childcare sites meet YMCA guidelines, maintain Licensed status by State guidelines, and abide by Best Practices 

Responsible for in-person support of various program locations to provide coaching, direction, support and ensure staffing coverage as needed 

Supervise, evaluate and provide feedback to applicable Program Directors and provide direction for their team development

Support Program Directors in recruiting and onboarding frontline employees 

Conduct regular staff meetings, program evaluation and utilize best practice tools identified by Y-USA 

Responsible for developing and monitoring all budgets of designated sites and ensuring that they meet all expectations and guidelines 

Serve as a positive sales person for the program, promoting programs to area businesses, organizations and families throughout the year 

Actively participate in regional community groups supporting school age care 

Collaborate with Directors to ensure that all staff maintain required state licensing professional development hours
