The position of Community Executive Director requires strong leadership and organizational skills; an understanding of programs, services and relationships needed to meet the needs of growing and diverse communities; and a commitment to using a broad array of traditional and modern communication channels to effectively present the values, priorities and work of the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth.
The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth, established in 1890, consists of 10 branches, as well as out resident camp, YMCA Camp Carter and the YMCA Sports Complex and employs over 1200 staff all dedicated to building healthy confident, connected, and secure children, adults, families and communities.
For more than 135 years, the Fort Worth YMCA has worked to empower and strengthen the foundation of our community. Currently, we are seeking a Community Executive Director who will need to build strong strategic relationships with current and prospective partners inside and outside the Y. As the Y looks to grow and expand the membership base, building bridges within the community to ensure all segments of society have access to the Y will be important. The Community Executive will have a strong focus on organizing philanthropic activity and continue to build a strong annual campaign and solid branch board. This leader will be the face of the community, which requires guiding others on how to strengthen knowledge, skills and competencies that improve organizational performance. Creating an environment of trust and respect by empowering others and sharing authority will be key to this leader's success. It is a requirement that the selected candidate live in the community that the branch serves.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) in YMCA related field or a minimum of 3 years Senior Management Experience.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth offers a competitive salary and benefits package for selected candidates.
The yearly salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 and will be commensurate with the selected candidate's experience.

Eligible to enroll in a 403 (b) tax-deferred account at beginning of employment. 12% retirement paid by the YMCA upon meeting eligibility requirements. The YMCA will also provide relocation reimbursement if the candidate qualifies. It is a requirement that the incumbent lives in the community the branch serves.
