About the Role:

  • Reporting directly to the COO, the Vice President of Property & Facility Management will lead the strategic oversight and operational excellence of more than 1 million square feet of YMCA-owned facilities, including branches, camps and program centers throughout the Tampa area.
  • This leader will champion safety, innovation, and sustainability, ensuring that every YMCA property reflects our commitment to excellence and supports life-changing programs and experiences.
Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • Experience: Minimum 6+ years in progressive facilities or real estate management (10+ years with a high school diploma), including multi-site and large-scale operations. Project and construction management experience is essential.
  • Leadership: 3+ years managing teams with a collaborative, empowering leadership style and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance, sustainability practices and facility software such as Asset Essentials.
  • Hands-On Mindset: Willingness to be present on-site, supporting both daily operations and strategic priorities with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

 
Additional Requirements:

  • Residency in or relocation to the Tampa Area
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and respond to storm-related or emergency events 

Certifications (Required or Obtain Within 30–90 Days)

  • CPR, AED, First Aid and Oxygen Administration (within 30 days)
  • OSHA 10-hour Training & Certified Pool Operator (within 90 days)
Essential Functions
  • Lead the development and execution of long-term facility and capital reinvestment strategies.
  • Oversee construction and renovation projects from concept through completion.
  • Manage energy systems, sustainability programs and environmental stewardship initiatives.
  • Supervise vendor relationships, contract negotiations and compliance.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing team of facility directors and technicians.
  • Coordinate storm preparedness, emergency response and recovery efforts association wide.
