The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Program Director specializing in STEM/STEAM/Robotics. This individual will be responsible for curriculum development, program implementation, and staff leadership, while also working closely with schools, community partners, and internal teams to expand and enhance youth learning opportunities.
Candidates must be committed to upholding the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne. In addition, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Bachelor’s degree in education and active and unencumbered Indiana teaching license required.
One to two years of related leadership experience preferred.
Strong communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
High energy and enthusiasm with excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve challenges effectively.
Demonstrated ability to relate to and engage individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.
Comfortable speaking to and facilitating with large groups.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must complete required certifications and training (CPR/First Aid/O2, Bloodborne Pathogens, Child Abuse Prevention, etc.) within 60 days of hire.
Salary: Grant Funded, Full-time $45,205-$47,000 annually
Lead: Oversee STEM program development and project implementation across a variety of partnerships.
Connect: Build and maintain strong relationships with YMCA staff, school personnel, community partners, parents, and youth. Target and serve priority populations, ensuring equitable access and inclusion for underserved youth in STEM programming.
Build: Cultivate and maintain community partnerships that support and grow STEM/STEAM learning initiatives.
Support: Assist with grant writing, reporting, and cross-departmental collaboration on curriculum development and program strategy.
Bachelor’s degree in education and active and unencumbered Indiana teaching license required.
