Job Description

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a detail-oriented relationship builder to provide leadership and oversight to licensing and related administration for the YMCA's Youth Development Department.

Qualifications

The Director should be a detail-oriented leader, with strong administrative experience and a commitment to the YMCA mission. A four-year degree in a related field is preferred. At least two years' experience in a related field is required. Previous experience complying with Virginia Department of Social Services (DSS) Child Care licensing standards is essential. Strong relationship-building, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary. The ability to plan, develop, organize, manage, prioritize and administer tasks is essential. Demonstrated computer proficiency, and administrative skills are required. Ability to travel between youth development sites as needed to meet with licensing is essential.

Essential Functions

The Director will implement and evaluate processes for ensuring staff files are compliant with licensing standards. Monitoring a tracking process for staff certifications and communicating certification needs and expirations for all Youth Development staff will be a priority. The Director of Youth Development Licensing Administration will build rapport with licensing agents and be present for staff file inspections to facilitate and maintain positive communication with the licensing agency. The position will also be responsible for leading a team of staff in assisting with internal on-site audits to ensure accuracy and organization. Other responsibilities include preparing and processing new and renewal applications for licensing and onboarding all new site leaders to ensure understanding and licensing compliance.
