Job Description
The YMCA is seeking an experienced Early Learning Director to lead our preschool program in Reston, VA. You will oversee program quality, develop a team of educators, and build strong relationships with children and families.
With strong organizational support and a focus on staff development, you’ll have the resources to lead effectively and strengthen program quality.
This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who is passionate about early childhood education and ready to elevate team performance and the overall program experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Strong knowledge of child development and licensing standards
- Experience leading teams and managing program operations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Essential Functions
- Lead and develop a team of educators, building a positive, high-performing culture
- Ensure strong early learning experiences aligned with best practices
- Grow enrollment and family engagement through tours and community relationships
- Oversee program operations and licensing compliance
- Partner with families to support each child’s development
- Manage program performance and budget with branch leadership

Required Certifications
