The WashU Campus YMCA is in search of a motivated individual to take on the role of Director of Outreach and Specialty Programs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
  • One to two years related experience preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Essential Functions
  • Supports and supervises service and leadership activities to meet the needs of the community, WashU and the mission of the YMCA.
  • Mentor and support student leaders as they develop leadership skills, navigate partnerships, recruit and support volunteers and lead community-based initiatives.
  • Oversight of current community service programs, Student Executive Council, and administration support of social media outlets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations while collaborating closely with YMCA branches and university departments to advance shared goals, including participation in interdepartmental teams.
  • Assists in the marketing and distribution of branch information, may organize and schedule program registrations.
  • Serve as the backbone of community partnerships by ensuring sustainability and compliance, supporting annual MOUs, and facilitating regular check-ins through meetings, surveys, and emails.
  • Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
  • Assists in YMCA fundraising activities and special events.
  • May assist with Board of Advisors meetings.
  • Support evaluation and reporting on program efficacy
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
