Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 Annually

The YMCA of Greater New York Association Office is seeking a Data Analyst who will support the Research, Evaluation & Strategy (RES) department in data management and reporting across the YMCA of Greater New York. As an expert in impact measurement and reporting through CRM systems, with a focus on Salesforce.com (SFDC), the Data Analyst provides insight and analytical support to inform key business decisions within operations, fund development, marketing, and finance. The YMCA of Greater New York works across Salesforce Clouds with a focus on Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) and Sales Cloud. The Data Analyst works in an analytical capacity and is required to have a thorough understanding of YMCA of Greater New York’s strategic objectives, operational portfolio, and community impact.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant technical school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a combination of Analytics, Nonprofit, or Operations roles.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with Salesforce (SFDC) CRM reports and dashboards.
  • Experience in analyzing data sets within Tableau or other Analytics BI Tools preferred.
  • Experience with Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) preferred.
  • Strong numerical reasoning skills and understanding of nonprofit impact measurement.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple streams of work.
  • Strong team player who can collaborate and develop trusting relationships across departments.
  • Ability to translate data analytics into operational insights.
  • Passion for data governance to protect data sources for accurate reporting.
  • Culturally competent in a range of diverse contexts.
  • Openness to feedback and review of work; appreciation of quality control/assurance protocols.

Essential Functions
  • Support measurement, learning, and evaluation frameworks, monitor metrics, and report on program and operational impact and success.
  • Develop and prepare reporting solutions, including both standard and ad-hoc reports as requested.
  • Integral support of the Salesforce reporting system, including creating and maintaining reports and dashboards, customization, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct data cleaning and quality control to identify errors and ensure data integrity through interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive and inform the development of reports and dashboards, continually improving tools and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop analyses and reports to support strategic decision-making across the organization under the guidance of the VP of Research, Evaluation & System Strategy.
  • Ensure timely availability of performance reports, analytical insights, and relevant resources.
  • Transform and validate data from Salesforce, Snowflake, and other sources.
  • Be the go-to person for data accuracy, integrity, and visualization across systems, including Salesforce.
  • Other duties as assigned.
