Job Description

The Hampshire Regional YMCA is seeking a community-minded addition to our facility team! Under the direction of the Facility Director, the Facilities Coordinator will assist with maintenance projects at our YMCA in Northampton as well as our 175-acre Camp Norwich property in Huntington. Our Y serves people of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds, and our facility team is responsible for keeping the space safe, clean, and updated for all.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of basic maintenance experience required
  • Experience & ability to make small repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electric, etc. in a commercial facility
  • Ability to make small repairs to equipment like lawn mower, leaf blower, etc
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and independent judgment
Essential Functions
  • Assist Facility Director as assigned with maintenance projects in our YMCA including carpentry, painting, small plumbing projects, etc.
  • Assist with groundskeeping at our YMCA facility which includes two playgrounds, three parking lots, lawn, and landscaping/gardens
  • Assist with groundskeeping at Camp Norwich which includes a lakefront, dirt road, woodsy trails, and many trees
  • Assist with housekeeping duties as needed including subbing in for housekeepers and assisting with supervision if necessary
  • Perform exterior maintenance and landscaping tasks including lawn management, raking, tree trimming, gardening, etc.
  • Assist Facility Director in ordering approved materials and keeping maintenance inventory
  • Assist with management of two indoor pools
  • Assist with coordinating third party maintenance providers like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.
  • Assist with intake of electronic maintenance request submissions
