Executive Director, Grand Prairie YMCA

The Dallas YMCA is currently seeking our next Executive Director for our Grand Prairie YMCA.
Job Description

We are currently seeking an Executive Director who will provide direct leadership and supervision for all membership, childwatch, special events, marketing, annual campaign, overall branch operations and community impact. The Executive Director works closely with regional directors to support program areas in sports, fitness, adventure guides, aquatics and other areas as needed.  Directly accountable for overall branch success, annual campaign, board and volunteer work and community impact.

Qualifications

Prefer a 4 year degree or the equivalent in related work experience.  This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with staff, members, and the community.  The Executive Director must be intuitive in connecting members into small communities and representing the Y within the community as a leader. Strong skills in developing programs, events, as well as year round member appreciation activities.   Strong skills in coaching, mentoring and developing staff are desirable and experience with leadership in large special events will be helpful.  Must have a strong member relation and customer service skill set.

Essential Functions

Provide leadership in the critical success areas of the Grand Prairie YMCA.  

Is accountable for direct leadership of the day to day operations as well as the expected results.  

Recruits, leads and manages a volunteer board of management for the branch, maintaining set structures, numbers and expectations for the volunteers. 

Responsible for all activities as well as supervision of all membership, special events, member sales and services, corporate membership sales and on site wellness programs.  

Accountable for creating a growth based action plan that will increase membership sales, membership retention, activity participation, as well as community awareness in the Grand Prairie community.  

Will be accountable for the leadership of marketing, public relations, communications, and well as community events and activities.  

Responsible for monthly reports that are required by the Association and the Branch.  

Responsible for mentoring, coaching and directing the performance of one FT Exempt staff, as well as 40+ part-time staff.  

Responsible for budget management as well as leadership in the Annual Campaign.  

Will be required to effectively assess and improve staff performance when required.
