Branch Executive

The GMV YMCA is expanding and looking for a Branch Executive at our new Trenton facility opening Febrary of 2027!
Job Description

Under the direction of the VP, the Branch Executive is accountable for the administration and operation of the Branch in accordance with the policies, procedures, and goals of the Great Miami Valley YMCA.

Qualifications

1.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Non-Profit Management or related field preferred. High school diploma or the equivalent required.

2.Experience: Three or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.

3.Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.

4.Proven track record of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others.

5.Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of Branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.

6.Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.

7.Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

8.CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.

Essential Functions

1.Manages, supervises, trains, and evaluates all key staff and volunteers, and assists in meeting developmental needs.

2.Coordinates and facilitates, as needed, staff meetings and personal/professional development opportunities on a regular basis using performance standards, work performance and review procedures to accomplish the maximum attainment of goals and objectives.

3.Recruits, selects, and maintains diverse advisory boards that actively support the Y’s goals and strategic plans. Clarifies and reinforces the division of roles and responsibilities between the Association Board of Trustees, the Branch advisory boards, staff, and general volunteers.

4.Oversees the development of all Branch board members and serves as staff officer to the Branch boards, board committees and volunteer groups, or delegates the responsibility to appropriate staff.

5.Responsible for annual budget development, monthly budget monitoring, monthly forecasts, and achievement of a balanced budget.

6.Maintains systems of financial control including revenues, expenses, and inventories, and operates the Branch in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the Association’s finance policy and procedures.

7.Maintains safe, clean and attractive facilities. Ensures the safety and maintenance of high quality facilities, grounds, and equipment.

8.Assures attainment of annual support campaign goals. Works closely with Association financial development department to implement best practices in order to ensure success.

9.Secures and maintains programs, membership, financial, personnel and participation records.

10.Effectively communicates community benefit and the Y’s impact for all stakeholders (e.g., staff, volunteers, members, community leaders) develops positive working and collaborative relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities.

11.Secures sufficient revenue to provide program services consistent with established goals and strategizes on ways to grow revenue.

12.Works to develop an ongoing strategy for building a base of support through endowments.

13.Ensures the Branch offers high-quality programs that comply with YMCA standards and methods of operations.

14.Responsible for program development into unserved and underserved portions of the service area. Strives to work collaboratively with other community leaders and organizations to provide the best opportunities possible for our community.

15.Responsible for creating a culture that encourages staff and volunteers to develop new and creative methods of delivering the mission of the YMCA through progress.
