⭐ About the Role
The Director of Youth, Family & Camp leads all youth‑centered programming within the assigned YMCA Center, including Play & Learn, Day Camp, family programs, special events, and emerging youth/family initiatives. This role ensures high‑quality program delivery, strong participant engagement, safe operations, and responsible financial management aligned with Association goals.
Qualifications

- BA/BS in child development, recreation, elementary education, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in YMCA or similar youth‑serving organization.
- Strong skills in program development, event planning, and volunteer engagement.
- Ability to relate effectively to all age groups.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills with internal partners to build well‑rounded youth and family programs.
- High level of organization, project management, and multitasking ability.

Essential Functions
⭐ Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for Play & Learn, Day Camp, family programming, and special events.
- Manage staff schedules, program operations, and standardized Day Camp processes in collaboration with Center leadership.
- Select, train, supervise, and evaluate paid and volunteer staff.
- Support budget development, staffing ratios, expense control, and financial accountability.
- Evaluate programs and recommend improvements aligned with Association strategic priorities.
- Maintain program records, documentation, and prepare reports (including grant outcome reporting).
- Serve as Manager on Duty during assigned weeknight and weekend rotations.
- Oversee program equipment, facilities, and off‑site locations.
- Engage with community partners to identify and respond to youth and family needs.
- Support Association initiatives including World Service education, fundraising, and the annual campaign.
- Provide direct leadership to assigned programs and assist with additional projects as needed.
