Job Description

The Membership Manager is a relationship-builder, team leader, and growth driver who partners with the Chief Program Officer to create an outstanding member experience at every touchpoint. From welcoming new members and strengthening retention to leading and inspiring membership staff, this role keeps our membership community thriving. The Membership Manager brings fresh ideas, develops smart strategies, and implements new systems and procedures that support growth, engagement, and long-term success.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous customer service and supervisory experience.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with standard business software
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous YMCA experience preferred. 
Essential Functions
  • Implements membership strategies that support recruitment of new members and retention of current members. 
  • Recruits, hires, trains, develops and motivates the membership staff.
  • Promotes program and membership enrollment.
  • Ensures proper implementation of front desk procedures.
  • Plans, organizes and implements member appreciation events.
  • Plans membership staff meetings that are motivating and informational.
