Job Description

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Develops, organizes, and implements high quality YMCA program(s).

Qualifications

1.    Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.

2.    YMCA Leader certification (Team Leader certification preferred)

3.    One to two years related experience preferred.

4.    Minimum age of 21.

5.    Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Essential Functions

1.    Oversees the management of multiple school-based programs, including developing and monitoring program          operations, curriculum, alignment to high-quality standards and best practices. 

2.    Ensures programs and services meet community needs to include; supervising existing school and community-based programs, establishing latest programs, and expanding the program within the community as needed. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.

3.    Monitors program deliverables to include the program budget to meet fiscal objectives; compiling program statistics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in program; securing and scheduling the needed facilities; and creating and scheduling the classes, activities, or events.

4.    Recruits and hires diverse staff and volunteer teams across multiple dimensions of diversity. Onboards new employees and develops them for success. 

5.    Manages staff members, including full-time employees, monitoring staff schedules, employee payroll, performance and coordinates human resource needs with the Managed Services Organization (MSO). 

6.    Models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations. Maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility. 

7.    Supports program and staff compliance to all safety standards, adhering to risk management and child abuse prevention policies. 

8.    Ensures programs and staff adhere to AZ Department of Health Services Childcare Facility Licensing and Department of Economic Services regulations, standards, and processes.

9.    Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.

10.  Attend required abuse risk management training.

11.  Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers.

12.  Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations. 

13.  Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
