Job Description

The Sheboygan County YMCA is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Executive Director for Camp Y-Koda, an 80-acre outdoor education and summer camp program serving youth, families, and the community. 

The Executive Director of Camp Y-Koda provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for multiple program areas including:

  • Summer Camp programs
  • Maywood summer and school-year programming
  • School district partnerships
  • Annual fundraising initiatives
  • Camp Y-Koda facilities and grounds

This leader works closely with staff, volunteers, and the YMCA Executive Team to ensure program growth, safety, member satisfaction, and financial sustainability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience managing staff, programs, and budgets
  • Ability to analyze financial and participation data
  • Preferred: 6+ years of management experience in a YMCA or nonprofit organization
Essential Functions
  • Lead, recruit, and supervise camp staff and volunteers
  • Oversee summer camp and outdoor education programming
  • Manage camp facilities, operations, and safety
  • Develop and manage budgets and monitor financial performance
  • Support annual fundraising initiatives and donor relationships
  • Build partnerships with schools, organizations, and community groups
  • Collaborate with YMCA leadership on strategic planning and program growth

Required Certifications
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Must obtain YMCA Organizational Leader Certification within 3 years
