The Vice President of Family Center Operations is responsible for overall operations experience. This individual will provide cause-driven leadership and coaching to the director of operations and facilities product line team, with a focus on the member experience, and overall aesthetic of the building. As a Senior Leader this position will ensure successful experiences for all at the family centers of the YMCA of South Florida, including membership, facilities, volunteer recruitment, staff supervision, community relations, collaborations, budgeting, and financial results. Director support of all Family Center Boards and fundraising.
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
· Minimum of 8-10 years of successful operations experience in a variety of YMCA’s or similar operations
required.
· Proven track record managing strategic partnerships and contracts.
· Possess experience in leadership retention and development, developing 1-3-5-year strategic plan for
operations.
· Minimum of eight years of supervisory experience overseeing leadership staff.
· Ability to relate to top community leaders and diverse groups of people from all social and economic
segments of the community.
· Experience working closely with Board members and other Volunteers.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to relate to individuals at all levels.
· Excellent organizational skills, organized and detail-oriented.
· Supervises Director of Operations, & Facilities Product Line leadership to work as “One Y” ensuring that
fiscal, quality and performance standards are met, and sound operation principles are in practice.
· Oversee the design, development, and implementation of DOO goals, and responsibilities ensuring they
are effective, efficient, and impactful. This includes defining program goals, objectives, and key
performance indicators.
· In partnership with the Product Line Leads – support new program areas and potential areas
for growth and innovation.
· Leads the development of program budgets and resource allocation: Ensuring efficient use of resources
and financial accountability.
· Monitors and evaluates program performance: Tracking progress against KPIs and adjusting as needed.
· Oversee the preparation of the annual budgets for the Family Center Operations and monitor monthly
financial reports to ensure revenue targets are met and expenses are controlled.
· Foster a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs and lead Family Center staff in the
planning, development and implementation of new program Initiatives and activities.
· Builds, leads and manages a team of Director of Operations, providing guidance, support, and
professional development opportunities.
· Provides ongoing coaching and performance feedback: Helping team members grow and develop their
skills.
· Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment: Promoting teamwork, innovation,
and accountability.
· Be a role model mentor and be a leader in working with a high-performing business development and

· Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the Family Centers
· Support Family Center Board development in alignment with the COO and association vision.
· Monitors monthly financial reports to ensure that revenue growth targets are met and expenses are
controlled.
· Responsible for member relations, including complaint resolution.
· In conjunction with Financial Development, ensures Family Center’s commitment to the Annual Campaign.
· Models’ relationship-building skills in all interactions with staff, volunteers, members, and the community. · Supports the facilities product line – to ensure the appearance and overall facility needs are managed.
