Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience in customer service and/or sales.
- Proven success in customer service, relationship-building, and leading member-focused teams.
- Demonstrated leadership, dependability, and flexibility with work schedules.
- Ability to effectively engage diverse populations across social and economic backgrounds.
- Successful completion of background check.
- Required within 30 days of hire: YMCA cause and culture training; membership training; BLS CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration (YMCA-provided).
- Adhere to youth protection policies and complete all required abuse prevention training prior to first shift.
- Screen, train, and enforce abuse prevention policies; promote a culture of reporting; maintain confidentiality.
- Report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and comply with all mandated abuse reporting requirements, reinforcing zero tolerance.
Essential Functions
- Lead membership recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies
- Hire, train, schedule, and develop Welcome Center staff
- Promote programs and memberships to members and guests
- Execute membership campaigns and meet enrollment goals
- Manage department budget and payroll accuracy
- Ensure Welcome Center procedures and risk management standards
- Represent the YMCA at branch and community events
- Support fundraising efforts and special events
