The Granite YMCA is seeking a dynamic Director of Day Camp & Teen Programs to jopin our impactful Association.
Job Description

This full-time youth program leadership position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the community by creating engaging, safe, and enriching experiences for youth and teens. The incumbent will lead and oversee our 

summer Day Camp, teen programs, and child drop-in services, including Teen Center and Kid Zone initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Recreation, or related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in youth programs, summer camps, education, childcare, or recreation management
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to obtain Mini Bus Driving Credentials
Essential Functions

As Director, you will lead, manage, and grow a variety of youth-focused programs, including:

Summer Day Camp Programs 

  • Manage on-site summer day camp programs for youth, including specialty camps and trip camps
  • Ensure program safety, quality, accreditation compliance, and a positive camper experiences 

Teen Programs & Leadership 

  • Supervise the Teens Coordinator and oversee programs such as Middle School Aftercare, Leaders Club, Teen Nights, quarterly Teen Trips, and Youth & Government conference participation
  • Support youth leadership development and community engagement 

Kid Zone Drop-in Programs 

  • Supervise the Kid Zone Coordinator and manage daily operations of the YMCA’s drop-in child watch center
  • Plan and implement monthly Kids Night Out programs for youth 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program staff and seasonal employees
  • Develop and manage program budgets, enrollment targets, and performance metrics
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, schools, and community partners
  • Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for team members
  • Attend local and regional conferences to remain current on youth development best practices
  • Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, state regulations, and safety standards

Schedule & Employment Type 
This is a Full-time, salaried exempt position with a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional evenings and weekends required for events and programs.
