Job Description

The YMCA of Upper Palmetto (YUP) is a vibrant, 13-branch association serving three counties across the Upstate and Piedmont regions of South Carolina—just south of Charlotte, NC. Our association includes a diverse mix of executive storefront YMCAs, community partnership locations, flagship branches, and a resident camp.

As a mid-major association with a corporate office in Rock Hill, SC, we’re proud to serve growing, family-friendly communities that offer an exceptional quality of life. The area features four beautiful seasons, mild winters, and easy access to the mountains (just an hour north) and the beaches (Charleston is three hours south).

The region offers a variety of living options—from scenic rural areas to modern planned neighborhoods—and is home to Winthrop University and numerous healthcare providers. The Fort Mill and Clover school districts are also among the top-rated in the state, making this an ideal area to live, work, and raise a family.

The Baxter Close YMCA is the centerpiece of Baxter Village, a one-of-a-kind, master-planned community featuring more than 1,700 homes along with local restaurants and businesses—similar in feel to Seaside or Celebration, Florida. Nearby, the Fort Mill YMCA at the Complex (FMAC) is a unique partnership between the Town of Fort Mill, the Fort Mill School District, and the Anne Springs Close Greenway, showcasing how collaboration strengthens our mission to build healthy, connected communities.

If you’re looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a welcoming community and great quality of life, the YMCA of Upper Palmetto is the place for you!
