Are you a passionate leader with a background in wellness and personal training? Join the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas as our Regional Personal Training Director – Floater, where you’ll play a key role in supporting our branches and enhancing the member experience across the Association.
About the Role:
The Regional Personal Training Director – Floater is a unique leadership position designed to provide operational support across multiple YMCA branches. You’ll temporarily step into leadership roles to cover staff PTO, vacancies, or special projects—ensuring a seamless experience for our members and staff alike.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and support personal training and wellness coaching programs across assigned branches
- Step in as acting director during short-term staffing gaps
- Conduct quality checks and contribute to strategic initiatives
- Oversee the Athletes in Training Program (youth group strength training) Association-wide
- Help supervise training staff and programs at the T. Boone Pickens YMCA
- Coach and mentor trainers to help them reach their business goals
- Manage administrative tasks, including timekeeping, labor tracking, and session management through MINDBODY software

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required (preferred fields include Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related discipline)
- At least three years of experience in the fitness industry strongly preferred
- Proven ability to attract and retain members through relationship-building and effective marketing strategies
- Strong business acumen and understanding of human behavior change principles
- Prior leadership and management experience required
- Familiarity with current fitness and wellness trends
- Strong communication, coaching, and team development skills
