About the Role:
As the Theater and Arts Director, you will bring vision, creativity, and leadership to expand arts programming across the North Shore. Youβll play a key role in seamlessly integrating the arts into membership and community engagement initiatives, ensuring that our offerings reflect the rich diversity of the communities we serve. Your mission: to create innovative, high-quality arts experiences that inspire creativity and connection.
What Youβll Do:

Develop and oversee engaging arts curricula and skill-building programs, including the Vibe Program.
β
Lead the Creative Arts Summer Camp, ensuring excellence, safety, and creativity.
β
Recruit, mentor, and support a talented team of staff and volunteers, building a culture rooted in growth and collaboration.
β
Direct youth programs and mainstage productions, while also designing marketing materials to promote arts offerings.
β
Manage Ames Hall events and space to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for all community members.
β
Build partnerships with local organizations to enrich programming and expand community reach.
β
Maintain fiscal responsibility, track program impact, and support fundraising initiatives.
β
Embed the arts into all areas of YMCA membership and programming, strengthening our reputation as a hub for creativity.

Qualifications

Proven experience in developing and managing arts programs β with a passion for innovation and quality.
β
Strong leadership and team-building skills, dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
β
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, building positive relationships with staff, students, and community partners.
β
Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply to better reflect and serve our diverse community.
β
Prior experience directing youth theater productions β inspiring young performers and bringing creative visions to life.
