Job Description

As the After-School Site Director, you’ll oversee the daily operations of one of our after-school and summer camp sites, ensuring programs meet YMCA standards and Texas Child Care Licensing regulations.

You’ll lead and support your team of counselors, engage with families, and help children grow and succeed through fun, age-appropriate activities. Join our cause-driven team and help transform lives in your community!

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have, at minimum, high school diploma/GED + 3 years licensed childcare experience or similar
Experience leading a childcare or youth development program is preferred.
Must obtain CPR, First Aid, and YMCA Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Essential Functions

Supervise and support site staff to deliver safe, high-quality programs.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
Ensure compliance with YMCA policies and Texas minimum standards.
Maintain proper staff-to-child ratios and a safe environment.
Lead by example, modeling YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
