Responsible for the overall leadership and operation of the O’Fallon, Missouri YMCA, including board development, membership growth and retention, marketing, programs, staff development, financial management, community relations, and strategic partnerships. Must inspire and engage staff, volunteers, and members in support of the Y’s mission. Demonstrated success in financial management, sustaining the nonprofit model while driving growth. Provide dynamic, goal-driven leadership that ensures high-quality, consistent member experience and program management and development. Requires strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and the ability to lead through change. Must exemplify the Y’s core values—caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility—in all actions and decisions.

With a $4.9M operating budget, $105,000 Annual Fundraising Campaign, 150 employees (11 FTE and FTNE staff), and spanning an impressive 75,000 square feet building with a brand new gym, (now 2 full gymnasiums), Functional Fitness & Athletic Training Studio, our New High-Energy Cycling Studio, Revamped Group Exercise Studio, renovated child watch studio and state of the art fitness center. With plenty of outdoor space and 3 pavilions. This facility is the hub of activity, wellness, and community gathering. 

Branch program and membership operations consist of comprehensive health and wellness programming, 1,800 membership units,13 childcare sites, 500+ day campers, 600+ youth sports participants per session, diverse aquatics programming, and various other youth and adult classes and programs.

O'Fallon, Missouri, is a vibrant and growing city in St. Charles County known for its excellent schools, family-friendly atmosphere, and well-maintained parks. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business, or equivalent.
  • Five or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
  • Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
  • Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.'
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
  • YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinates the development of the branch board and committees. Directs the volunteer activities (policy and program) of the branch.
  • Directs the financial development activities of the branch.
  • Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops, maintains, and models collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery areas.
  • Oversees the hiring, training, development, and supervision of staff.
  • Develops, manages, and monitors the branch operating budget and meets or exceeds budget targets.
  • Directs branch strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan of the branch.'
  • Develops and directs high-quality relationship-based member engagement strategies. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions with staff, volunteers, members, and the community.
  • Fosters a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs which support the Y mission, goals, and strategies.
  • Ensures the safety and maintenance of high-quality facilities, grounds, and equipment.
  • Directs branch marketing and communication efforts to effectively communicate benefit to the community.
  • Serves as a member of Y management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
