The Development Director is a key leadership position responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all fundraising activities for the Southington branch to support the organization's mission and growth. This role oversees $300,000+ in revenue from signature fundraising events and directs the annual campaign, generating $110,000 in individual and corporate support. The Development Director works closely with the CEO, Branch Director and Development Committee to manage and execute our large-scale special events, cultivate donor relationships, secure sponsorships, and expand the organization’s visibility and philanthropic support. Ideal candidates will bring a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, experience in event planning and a proven track record in nonprofit development.
Qualified candidate should possess a four-year college degree in a related field, and should fulfill the following requirements:
Under the direction of the CEO, the Development Director is responsible for developing, implementing and meeting our overall fundraising goals for the year. This includes, planning and execution of special events for the Southington branch and association-wide events. This position also includes leadership of the annual support campaign. Additional responsibilities include leading our Development Committee, identifying grant opportunities, securing United Way funding, and supporting other charitable opportunities.
