Job Description
The Central branch YMCA is looking for an energetic, outgoing team player to fill the position of Aquatics Director. This role ensures a safe and engaging aquatic environment for all ages through high-quality programming and facility management.

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Four-year degree preferred but will consider an equivalent combination of education/work experience.
One to two years related leadership experience preferred.
Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
Excellent human relation skills and enthusiasm. An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
Ability to relate to, welcome and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Essential Functions
Lead: Oversee all aspects of daily pool operations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and YMCA safety and health regulations.
Develop: Manage swim lesson programs, swim team practices, and meets that promote skill-building and community engagement.
Deliver: Conduct lifeguarding, CPR, and swim instruction training to ensure a well-prepared and safety-focused team.
