The State Director of Rural Health leads the Indiana Alliance of YMCAs' implementation of the federal Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) grant awarded by the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH). This position directs statewide implementation, program delivery, staff and/or contractor supervision, evaluation, and grant compliance to advance community-integrated health in partnership with Indiana YMCA’s. The Director oversees data collection, reporting, invoicing, outcome monitoring, and coordination with key partners to ensure the Grant's deliverables, milestones, and timelines are achieved in full compliance with federal and IDOH requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb stairs, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
This position requires frequent statewide travel, including to rural communities, partner sites, and program events across Indiana, sometimes requiring overnight travel. The noise level in the office work environment is typical of a normal office; noise levels during site visits may be moderate to occasionally loud.
