Job Description
The Information Technology Director at the YMCA oversees all IT operations, ensuring systems, networks, cybersecurity, and technology infrastructure run efficiently and securely. The role supports the organization’s mission by using technology to enhance programs, member engagement, and overall operations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field required.
- Three to five years of related IT experience required in addition to one to two years of related leadership experience preferred.
- IT, cybersecurity, or project management certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, supervisory, and troubleshooting skills.
- An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Successfully complete within 60 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child Abuse Prevention training, and all other required training as specified by your supervisor.
Essential Functions
- Manage network infrastructure, servers, cloud environments, telecommunications, and hardware systems.
- Establish and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Serve as a technology advisor to executive leadership.
- Manage all IT-based projects.
- Provide input on vendor contracts for YMCA membership systems, HRIS, and finance platforms.
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve member engagement, program delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Direct and supervise the IT Specialist seat.
- Compile IT statistics. Monitor and evaluate all systems.
- Oversee technology procurement and lifecycle management.
- Ensure timely technical support for staff across all departments and locations.
- Participate as an active team member for the overall advancement of the association.
- Follow all safety standards and report issues to other Program Directors and/or Executive Director, as needed.
- Support growth and program development. Ensures YMCA program standards are met.
