The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and mission-driven leader to serve as the next Executive Director of YMCA Camp Cristina, one of the region’s most cherished and high-performing camp properties. Qualifications
Who You Are
You are a proven leader who brings:
- Experience in multi-program operations, camp, or youth development leadership
- Strong business acumen with success in growth, budgeting, and fundraising
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with staff, members, volunteers, and community leaders
- A passion for creating environments where individuals can achieve their goals, build relationships, and experience a true sense of belonging
- A balance of strategic thinking and disciplined execution

Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Drive innovation across camp, aquatics, teen, and year-round programming
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business and growth plan
- Lead future capital development and expansion initiatives
Community & Board Development - Build and inspire a high-impact advisory board
- Cultivate partnerships with civic leaders, schools, and organizations
- Expand volunteerism and deepen community engagement
Fundraising & Advancement - Lead and grow the Annual Campaign
- Partner on major gifts and capital strategy
- Engage alumni and donors to strengthen long-term sustainability
Operational Excellence - Deliver a best-in-class experience across all programs and services
- Ensure safety, quality, and ACA standards
- Oversee facilities, property development, and long-term asset planning
Team Leadership - Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing staff team
