Job Description
Performs the maintenance and improvement operations of facility and grounds, including preventative maintenance. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that the building and grounds are clean and well-maintained including landscaping, parking lots, fields, locker rooms, bathrooms, lobbies, bleachers and hallways, as well as other assigned areas.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record in accordance with the association’s driving
standards.
- 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry and other maintenance-related areas preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
Essential Functions
- Ability to work independently though advises management/staff on maintenance or equipment issues when appropriate.
- Perform cleaning and upkeep according to the custodial cleaning schedule and facility needs, keeping the facility and its surroundings in a clean and respectable condition.
- Ability to operate grounds equipment including not limited to Lawn Mowers, Weed Wackers, and Salt Spreaders.
- Ability to perform grass cutting, weed spraying/pulling, power washing, and performing snow removal and other labor as required.
- Willingness to operate floor and carpet machine to perform deep cleans and heavy-duty projects (e.g., floor waxing, carpet extraction, tile and grout cleaning).
- Maintain parking lots and exterior grounds for trash and debris.
- Assist with event setups (moving tables, chairs, equipment).
- Have the ability/willingness to move between multiple buildings, branches or zones.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
