Position Summary:
Develop, organize and implement high quality YMCA teen/youth programs for our diverse participants across all 6 branches, particularly for youth and teens in 6th through 12th grades. Ensures the successful operation of all facets of Teen Leadership, including: Youth and Government, My Achievers, Leaders Club, teen summer camp, end of year summer teen experience and other teen programs; quality standards, outcomes and measurements; staffing, training and development; program development; community relations and collaborations, with a focus on growth and expansion to new communities. Ensures a safe, positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes participant safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies, practices and procedures.
· Five or more years of management experience preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency
· Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, recreation, business or equivalent preferred
· Previous oversight of YMCA programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fundraising
· Demonstrated experience in starting and developing teen or youth programming
· Experience working at a YMCA branch, specifically in programs with a focus on 6th-12th grade youth, preferred
· YMCA Team Leader or Multi-Team Leader certification preferred
· Experience working with individuals, families and communities of diverse backgrounds and abilities
· Proven ability to plan, organize, and implement high quality developmentally appropriate programming
· Strong computer skills and experience with standard business software
· Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
· Fluency in second language desired
· Provides association-level leadership and direction to the on-site and off-site teen leadership programs by acting as a liaison between branch staff, branch executives, and senior leadership.
· Oversees the work of the Teen Leadership Advancement team.
· Assists Branch Executive Directors in their supervision of branch Teen Leadership staff. Works with each branch executive and branch staff to meet agreed-upon enrollment and revenue projections each year.
· Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of our diverse community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
· Expands teen leadership program within the Snohomish community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
· Ensures high quality and culturally aware programs through innovative program development, evaluations and on-going training of staff team(s).
· Executes strategies to ensure our program participants connect with one another and connect with the YMCA in a culturally appropriate manner.
· Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and events.
· Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, may organize and schedule program registrations.
· Develops quality improvement goals with programs based on participant survey feedback.
· Develops and implements action steps to improve programs’ quality and safety.
· Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program. Provides data and reports as required for assigned programs.
· Maintains and develops relationships with school districts, other community-based organizations, corporations and governmental agencies to collaborate on programming initiatives.
· Cultivates positive and collaborative relationships with national, regional and local leaders and funders to position the YMCA of Snohomish County as an unquestioned leader in the field of youth leadership; delivering high quality, developmentally appropriate programming for youth and teens.
· Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events.
· Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

The hiring range for this position is $82,784-$86,944 annually.
The full range of the pay grade for this position is $82,784-$100,256 annually.
