Job Description
The Aquatic Director will lead the operations of a 4-lane, 25-yard multi-purpose pool with two instructional areas, supervise staff, supervise and maintain pool and equipment, budget management, and all aquatic programming for the Lake Community YMCA.
Qualifications
- Strong background in aquatics, swim lessons, and other aquatic related operations
- Excellent leadership skills with supervision of daily duties relating to an indoor pool
- Degree in related field or commensurate field experience preferred
- CPR, FIrst Aid, and Lifeguarding certified
- Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (attained within 6 months)
- Certified Pool Operator Certifications (attained within 1 year)
Essential Functions
Responsibilities include all aspects of the aquatic program including:
- Developing, coordinating, and implementation of all programs
- Fiscal management and budgeting processes
- Customer service - display and promote the mission and the character pillars of the YMCA
- Staff supervision, including hiring and mentoring
