Empower youth and support 72 Y Club programs across MO & IL as the Association Sr. Program Director of Y-Club at the Gateway Region YMCA.
Job Description

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Senior Program Director oversees the development and operations of various programs initiatives and processes and designs practices, processes, and procedures for strong program and project management. The Y Club Program will support and provide leadership development to all Y club Program Directors that serves 72 before and after school programs in both Missouri and Illinois.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social services, recreation, or equivalent, required
  • Individual must qualify for Missouri and Illinois State licensing approved Director for 100+ children
  • Knowledge of Missouri and Illinois Child Care License and License-exempt knowledge is preferred
  • Four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency
  • Ability to successfully lead, train, and influence branch leadership
    Possess a high level of organizational knowledge, experience, and proficiency
  • Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populationsProven track record of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral communication, and writing skills
  • Eagerness for continuous improvement
  • YMCA Team Leader or Multi-team/Branch Leader certification preferred

Essential Functions
  • Develops, implements, and manages child care staff training for financial and programmatic digital platforms programmatic that promote program growth for the YMCA. Measures progress against strategic goals and ensures continuous improvement.
  • Manages parent pay and state subsidy child care payments and balances.
  • Provides operational support to branches in collections. Helps provide resources that are devoted to top priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to Branches on all child care platforms.
  • Assures compliance with state and local regulations. Ensures that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed.
  • Proficient in training, data analysis, customer service, project management, and influential leadership.
  • Uses data to analyze financial trends and forecast future financial progress for the organization.
  • Ensures high-quality member-focused programs through innovative program development, demonstrating courageous and intelligent risk-taking with awareness of societal, economic, and political issues and their impact on the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Rewards and recognizes new and relevant ideas and approaches, even if not successful.
  • Provides support to all Y-Club programs, including but not limited to training, mentoring, quality assurance, auditing, program growth, and filling in during Director vacancies.
  • Serve as a backup for the Association Senior Program Director of Day Camp.
  • Helps support the Executive Director of Association Child Care Services.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
