Job Description

The YMCA of South Florida is seeking to hire a dynamic, collaborative, energetic individual as VP of Program 
Strategy and Impact. Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President of Program 
Strategy and Impact will provide strategic leadership and direction to the YMCA of South Florida’s Product Line 
Programs (Aquatics, Family Services, and Sports), ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the Association. 
The individual in this role will lead teams, manage an overall budget of approximately $10M, foster 
collaboration, and drive program excellence.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities required:
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of leadership (strong preference for youth-serving 
organizational experience), education policy, program management or related field.
• Proven success in strategic planning, program innovation, and multi-site operations. 
• Must be currently serving in a leadership role and have budget & oversight responsibility of over $10M 
within multiple sites / centers.
• Expertise in data-driven decision-making, evaluation, and impact measurement. 
• Experience managing complex partnerships, including government agencies and funders.
• Ability to communicate and develop presentations to key stakeholders to show the impact of Y work.
• Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.
• Excellent supervisory and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent computer skills, (Microsoft Office; Word and Excel).

Essential Functions

Essential Functions / Job Duties:
Strategic Leadership & Planning

This high energy executive will provide strategic and operational leadership to program development and 
implementation, team leadership, and relationship management. Specific responsibilities for this role include 
the following:
• In partnership with the Product Line Lead - research, analyzing data, and staying abreast of industry 
trends to identify new program areas and potential areas for growth and innovation. 
• Lead the development of program budgets and resource allocation: Ensuring efficient use of resources 
and financial accountability. 
• Monitor and evaluate program performance: Tracking progress against KPIs and adjusting as needed.
• Ensure attainment of business plans for growth and profit through improved processes and 
management methods to generate higher returns on investment and workflow optimization.
• Oversee the preparation of the annual budgets for the Family Center Product Lines and monitor 
monthly financial reports to assure revenue targets are met and expenses are controlled. 
• Implement and oversee a program evaluation system to guarantee faithfulness to the Y’s cause, and a 
high-quality commitment to YMCA standards.
• Ensure the operational growth of the YMCA through program expansion, member recruitment and 
retention, pricing strategies, new site development, collaborations as well as mergers and acquisitions.
• Identify potential areas for family center cooperative programming to accomplish YMCA goals, and 
work with staff groups to develop and implement programs. Foster a climate of innovation to develop 
member-focused programs and lead Family Center staff in the planning, development and 
implementation of new program initiatives and activities.
