As the Membership Sales & Experience Director, you will be responsible for driving monthly membership sales goals by building relationships, developing referral pipelines, participating in community outreach, and promoting the YMCA brand both inside and outside the facility. You will lead the membership and welcome center team, champion member retention, and deliver a consistent, welcoming, and impactful member experience.

Qualifications

Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, or related field preferred. YMCA Team Leader Certification preferred within 3 years of hire.

Background & Experience - 

Minimum of One year successful sales experience, including leading or coaching sales teams.
Experience in marketing, community outreach, or customer service required.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
High energy, positive attitude, solution-oriented, and driven to success.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Essential Functions
  • Achieve Sales Goals -Meet and exceed monthly membership acquisition and retention targets through intentional outreach, lead generation, and follow-up. Implement a consultative sales approach that prioritizes member needs and aligns with YMCA values.
  • Lead Sales Pipeline -Identify, track, and convert prospective members through community partnerships, in-house promotions, and walk-in traffic. Engage businesses, schools, and local organizations to increase visibility and generate leads.
  • Deliver Exceptional Experiences - Ensure all members and guests receive a consistent, high-quality experience rooted in service and hospitality. Train staff to go above and beyond in every interaction, driving satisfaction and retention.
  • Build Community Relationships -Actively represent the Y at health fairs, school events, and local festivals, promoting membership opportunities and expanding our reach. Develop local partnerships to support membership growth.
  • Supervise & Coach Staff - Recruit, hire, train, and lead the membership and welcome center team. Provide coaching, recognition, and development to ensure a high-performing and mission-aligned team.
  • Lead Branch Marketing Efforts - Execute local marketing strategies and collaborate with Association marketing to promote programs and campaigns. Utilize social media, digital content, and in-person outreach to support sales goals.
  • Financial & Administrative Oversight - Develop and monitor departmental budgets. Track membership trends, prepare reports, and ensure systems are aligned for accurate data collection and financial performance.
  • Support Fundraising & Events - Participate in Annual Campaign efforts and community events that support the mission and fundraising goals of the YMCA.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth offers a competitive salary and benefits package for selected candidates. The yearly salary range for this position is $48,000 - $58,000 and will be commensurate with the selected candidate's experience. The YMCA provides competitive health benefits, a well-rounded wellness program and 403b Retirement fund paid fully at 12% of total salary each year. In addition to medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus life and long-term disability insurance, a work-life balance program includes up to 288 hours of vacation & personal time.
