We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Competitive Swim to lead our Long Reach Swim Club, a YMCA and USA competitive swim team comprised of approximately 200 swimmers aged 7 to 18 ranging from beginner to national level. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of competitive swimming, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for developing swimmers of all ages and abilities. Long Reach Swim Club strives to offer a fun, safe, healthy, environment that allows an athlete to learn athletic and life skills, set goals and adopt a positive work ethic while providing positive experiences where the self-motivated swimmer can thrive and grow into productive student athletes that will be confident leaders and role models for the future.

Long Reach Swim Club has a long history of winning including just wrapping up their 35th consecutive YMCA state championship in dominant fashion. But at LRSC, winning means more than just trophies and accolades. While some swimmers are focused on best times and swimming achievements, the culture of LRSC keeps swimmers coming back year after year because it’s about more than just swimming. Long Reach and its coaches focus on investing in kids achieving their goals while feeling included in a safe, welcoming environment.
Mission Advancement: Accepts and demonstrates the Y’s values. Demonstrates a desire to serve others and fulfill community needs. Recruits volunteers and builds effective, supportive working relationships with them. Supports fundraising.
