This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Under the direct supervision of the Association Director of Youth Development, the Child Care Director at the Williams YMCA of Avery County is responsible for the program development and implementation, supervision of children and working as a member of a team in an early childhood setting. This position is responsible for ensuring children’s social, physical, and mental development at the Hugh Chapman Early Learning Facility. They are responsible for program development, delivery, administration and evaluation of a preschool-age childcare program, in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards established by the Williams YMCA of Avery County, and the licensing department of the State of North Carolina.
