Job Description
Works in collaboration with the CFO to oversee all aspects of the organization’s financial activities. This leadership position will help ensure compliance, optimize financial performance, and assist in driving long term financial health.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or advanced degree preferred
- 7+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, finance related experience, preferably with a nonprofit agency
- 4+ years of experience managing a finance or accounting team
- Strong knowledge of all relevant regulations and GAAP standards
Essential Functions
- Overseeing and analyzing financial data reporting, budget preparation and financial projections
- Using data analysis to inform strategic decisions and optimize financial performance
- Support the closing process, including analysis
- Overseeing the annual operating budget process
- Review and update policies and procedures that reflect the growing needs of the organization
Supporting the CFO with reporting and presentation needs
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality
- Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach
- Developing and nurturing relationships with banks and partners critical to our success
