The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven and experienced professional to take their next leadership step to lead a truly mission-focused YMCA in a wonderful community in the western tip of Texas. The new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will join our Y with an energized board and an excited, trained staff team that has a true passion for the work and love for the community they serve. The El Paso YMCA has been in a management agreement with the Valley of the Sun YMCA, since September 2024, and has made significant strides in strengthening operations and enhancing organizational effectiveness, positioning the Y for a vibrant and sustainable future.
As part of these improvements, the Y has implemented new systems to support operational excellence, including a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, Daxko, and new finance software, SGA.
Position Description:
This position supports the work of the Y, one of the leading nonprofits in the El Paso area. The CEO, in partnership with the Board, sets the strategic direction of the organization; oversees its financial stability and growth, staffing, development, and operations; and positions the Y as a community convener and collaborator to address critical social issues. One of the important roles of the CEO is to ensure the safety and well-being of young people. It’s foundational to everything we do as a youth-serving organization. The CEO creates a culture of safety for everyone by exceeding standards and maintaining compliance.
