Job Description

We’re hiring an Associate Executive Director to help lead one of our branches with purpose, energy, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a high-level leader ready to drive programs, develop people, and shape community impact—while keeping the daily operations tight and aligned with our mission.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in nonprofit or branch executive leadership
- Proven experience supervising teams, managing budgets, and running operations
- Strong skills in relationship-building, communication, fundraising, and program delivery
- Strategic mindset and the ability to juggle priorities under pressure
- Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional travel between locations

Essential Functions

Leadership & Strategy

- Lead day-to-day operations across departments
- Directly supervise key branch directors and staff
- Serve as acting Executive Director when needed
- Champion a culture of service, integrity, and inclusion

Operational & Program Management

- Oversee branch programs to ensure quality, safety, and alignment with Association standards
- Support staff training, certification, and performance development
- Monitor cleanliness, equipment care, and facilities readiness
- Foster a welcoming, high-quality experience for members, volunteers, and visitors

Finance & Administration

- Assist in budget creation and fiscal oversight
- Ensure compliance with financial, HR, and operational policies
- Drive continuous improvement in branch operations

Community & Philanthropy

- Lead fundraising campaigns like Month of Giving and Caring for Community
- Cultivate donor and volunteer relationships
- Promote the branch and its work in the wider community

Association-Wide Leadership

- Participate in Association meetings, task forces, and committees
- Collaborate across branches to improve programs and systems
- Support association-wide trainings and initiatives
