The Fund Development Director is a key leadership position responsible for advancing our YMCA’s mission through strategic fundraising, donor cultivation, and philanthropic partnerships. This role cultivates meaningful donor relationships, oversees annual and major gift campaigns, grants, capital support, and fosters a culture of giving across staff, volunteers, and the communities we serve in Terre Haute, Brazil, and Greencastle Indiana.
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in fundraising or development, preferably in a nonprofit or YMCA setting.
Proven track record of successful donor cultivation, major gift solicitation, and campaign leadership.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, including the ability to write and edit grant proposals, reports, and summaries.
Strong strategic thinking and organizational abilities.
Ability to always demonstrate professional conduct.
Ability to exercise sound judgement and management of confidential information.
Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft applications, social media technology, fundraising software and CRM systems.
Understanding of and enthusiasm for the YMCA’s mission and cause.
