Must meet one of the following qualifications (applicable associate degree or higher preferred)
Associate degree or higher in early childhood education or child development
Associate degree in a child-related field (elementary education, child guidance/counseling, child psychology, family studies and social work) including 18 semester hours of coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 480 hours of documented experience
Associate degree in early childhood education or child development including 18 semester hours of coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 480 hours of documented experience
Montessori credential with 18 semester hours of coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 960 hours of documented experience
Valid child development associate credential with 18 semester hours of coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 960 hours of documented experience
Sixty semester hours with 18 semester hours of coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and 1,920 hours of documented experience
Must be at least 21 years of age or older (State of Michigan Licensing Requirement)
Successful completion of DHS criteria.
Demonstrated administrative experience in staff recruitment and training, supervision, program development, communication skills, fiscal management, budget development and knowledge of federal, state and local licensing regulations.
Must possess oral, auditory and written communication skills for use with children and adults.
Physical examination, including a TB test required within 30 days of beginning work.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to work in excess of a 40-hour week with irregular work hours.
Ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for long periods of time.
Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
Must be able to lift and/or assist in lifting children up to 50 pounds in weight.
Must be able to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time.
Must be able to successfully pass MVR and operate a Mini Bus.
Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking.
Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency
Ability to view/enter data for long periods of time.
