· Conduct personalized and safe training assessments to evaluate clients’ goals, health history, and ability to adhere to training plans.
· Create thoughtful, informed, and engaging training plans tailored to help clients achieve personal fitness goals.
· Provide coaching by demonstrating proper form, posture, and technique while ensuring safe and effective exercise execution.
· Apply knowledge of injury prevention, emergency procedures, and professional and legal trainer responsibilities to ensure a safe workout environment.
· Deliver exceptional member service, greeting and engaging all members to promote a welcoming wellness environment.
· Promote and sell personal training and additional YMCA health and wellness programs to support members in reaching their wellness goals.
· Integrate the YMCA’s core values—honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility—into all aspects of training and member engagement.
· Passionate about working with diverse populations, including older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those new to exercise
· Stay current with continuing education and attend mandatory YMCA training sessions.
· Support YMCA community initiatives and special events as needed
