Director of School Age Childcare - Londonderry/Windham

The Granite YMCA is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic youth development professional to join our dynamic, growing and purposeful team!
Job Description

This Director maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals, promotes the potential of all youth and provides quality experience to both youth and their families. As a leader in youth development, working under the supervisor of the Regional Director of School Age Childcare, this position will be responsible for the oversite of the school age childcare programs, to include in and out of school time programs for the elementary schools in the Londonderry and Windham districts. 

The Director will supervise a team of employees and volunteers and have administrative duties and operational functions, including daily program hours. Strong communication and leadership skills are required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Must meet NH bureau of Childcare Licensing Requirements as a Center Director 
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a supervisor 
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience with children in a developmental setting 
  • Possess strong interpersonal communication skills 
  • First Aid and CPR certified within 60 days of employment 
  • Must have valid Driver's License and reliable transportation 
  • Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds
Essential Functions
  • Oversee all operations of the school age childcare, vacation camps and full day programs for the Londonderry and Windham school districts(4 Before School and 5 After School Sites)and collaborate with School Age Childcare colleagues to ensure the highest quality programming 
  • Oversee the hiring, training, development, and supervision of staff team to include Site Directors, Group Leaders, and Assistant Group Leaders 
  • Weekly site visits and direct service programs hours as needed to meet the needs of programming 
  • Administrative duties includebudget management, employee timecard approval and management, staff scheduling, working with marketing team to create promotional materials, regular meetings with all school age childcare staff in area, attending SACC meetings and trainings set by Executive Director, consistent oversight of Licensing and Childcare policies as well as ensuring compliant sites, supervising newsletter and other communication between program and families, and others as the need arises 
  • Represents and promotes the Y in the local community by developing positive working and collaborative relationships with all key school personnel and families 
  • Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member/employee satisfaction 
  • Support the YMCA mission through volunteer development and assist in the Annual Campaign 
  • Participate in Association committees as well as pertinent outreach programs
