Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 Annually

The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Director, Talent Acquisition. The Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of innovative strategies to build and enhance talent throughout the Association.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent work experience.
  • Four (4) + years of professional level Human Resources experience.
  • Creative and proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Strong collaborator across all operational divisions.
  • Succession planning skills desired.
  • Prior experience with an applicant tracking system.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time/project management skills.
  • Solid computer skills.
Essential Functions
  • Develop recruiting strategies that continually feed the candidate pipeline based on market availability, existing internal candidate pool and diversity initiatives.
  • Develop a sourcing approach that reflects both the uniqueness of our business and the culture of the Association.
  • Build processes and procedures that deliver a high level of satisfaction from both candidates and internal customers.
  • Provide guidance to Hiring Managers to understand and anticipate staffing needs throughout the organization while building an effective Succession Planning process.
  • Proactively search out line Executives to understand their unique short and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Provide training to supervisors and managers throughout the Association to improve their interviewing skills and hiring decisions.
  • Develop and manage effective quality service standards, procedures, and tools to ensure the recruiting function is operating at the highest level. Ensure ROI on tactical recruitment activities (i.e., career fairs, advertising, personnel agencies, etc.)
  • Represent the YMCA at college/university job fairs and on-site and virtual recruiting events.
  • Develop and maintain a geographically dispersed network of sourcing contacts to ensure a pool of qualified, diverse, candidates for all positions.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends.
  • Drive metrics reporting to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Engage in day-to-day recruiting for all positions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable governmental regulations, maintaining required documentation for audit purposes.
  • Manage full lifecycle recruiting, hiring and on-boarding process for open positions including but not limited to determining recruitment strategy, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, in-person interviews, references checks and drafting offer letters.
  • Serve as primary recruiting point-of-contact for recruitment partners and hiring managers.
  • Represent the YMCA at internal and external job fairs and on-site and virtual recruiting events.
  • Research and partner with various educational institutions and other relevant associations to further drive the organization's employment brand and aid in the identification of top talent.
  • Responsible for the overall management of the ATS as well as external recruitment tracking systems.
