Job Description
The Coalitions and Partnerships Manager is a grant-funded position responsible for building and stewarding regional relationships with healthcare systems, government agencies, Cooperative Extension programs, and community-based organizations in support of the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) grant. This position works closely with local YMCAs to build, expand, and strengthen collaborative relationships with trusted partners, and serves as a key liaison to the grant's steering committee and statewide coalition. The Manager reports to the State Director of Rural Health.

- BA/BS in Public Health, Public Administration, Community Development, or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in partnership development, coalition building, or community engagement, ideally within health or nonprofit sectors.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and consensus-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and public relations skills.
- Familiarity with rural Indiana health needs and the community landscape strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel regularly and extensively across assigned region, including occasional evenings/weekends for programming.
- Completion of all position-specific and mandatory YMCA training within specified deadlines.
Essential Functions
Partnership Development
- Assist local Y's with building, expanding, and strengthening collaborative relationships with trusted partners, including healthcare systems, clinics, schools, community hubs, primary care providers, Area Agencies on Aging, local health departments, and Purdue Extension.
- Serve as primary liaison to the grant steering committee, coordinating engagement and follow-through on partnership commitments.
- Identify and cultivate new cross-sector collaborations that advance grant objectives.
Coalition & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead the regional coalition engagement strategy, convening partners and facilitating regular coalition meetings.
- Support local Y's in establishing and maintaining community advisory groups and coalitions.
- Track partnership activity, agreements/MOUs, and engagement metrics for inclusion in grant reporting.
- Support deployment of 5210 activities, in coordination with Marketing and Communications Manager, across regional partners.
Strategic Alignment
- Participate in comprehensive strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation activities across the life of the grant.
- Coordinate with the Marketing and Communications Manager to ensure consistent, aligned messaging to partners.
- Perform other duties/assignments as needed at the Indiana Alliance of YMCAs.
