Job Description

The Hampshire Regional YMCA is seeking a senior leader to join our team! Under the direction of the CEO, the Marketing & Development Director is the key leadership staff for all YMCA messaging to the public, members, participants, and donors. We are a community-serving organization that reaches a diverse population and provides a huge variety of essential services. This leadership role will also oversee our Y's fundraising efforts including events, donor cultivation, database upkeep, and messaging. Marketing and development efforts at our YMCA will have significant emphasis on sharing our impact with the larger community. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, excellent at project management, enjoys building relationships, and feels connected to our mission of serving ALL, regardless of age, income, or background.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in development/fundraising, communications, marketing, or a related field, preferably within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Canva, Constant Contact or comparable email marketing platforms, donor/fundraising databases or CRM systems, website content management systems, and social media platforms. Ability to learn and effectively utilize new technology and database systems.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and make decisions within established organizational policies and objectives.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and prospective donors and demonstrate confidence and professionalism in making fundraising requests and representing the YMCA in the community.
Essential Functions
  • Manages, leads and oversees the implementation, development, creation, editing and dissemination of high-quality content for internal and external audiences in a timely way, appropriate to specific marketing channels, within brand standards, and always aligned with our mission and core values.
  • Maintain branch website and social media outlets including Facebook and Instagram.
    Perform graphic design functions for building signage, program guides, building schedules, program schedules, flyers, etc.
  • Use Constant Contact to share regular correspondence with members and participants.
    Work with program directors to properly advertise their programs through a variety of programs on a cyclical timeline.
  • Participate in general leadership team functions including attending weekly meetings, contributing to organizational strategic plan and objectives, and general oversight of building.
  • Develop and implement the regular Community Impact fund and other ongoing fundraising efforts.
  • Provide stewardship and communication to donors regarding grant awards and the management and monitoring of the funders’ requirements for recognition.
  • Oversee Capital Campaign and Planned Giving program efforts.
