Copley-Price Family YMCA opened its doors to the public in 2014 and proudly serves one of the most diverse communities in San Diego, offering a supportive environment for people in the El Cajon, Kensington, Hillcrest, and North and South Park areas.

As a leading nonprofit organization, the Y offers programs that foster youth development, promote healthy living and advance social responsibility. Sports at the Y: Do More, Be More

Look at our sports, aquatics and special-interest programs, including running, dance and martials arts to try a new activity or pursue one you've always loved.

Swim at the Y: Learn Together, Play Together

Our location has an indoor pool and outdoor pool which offer swim lessons for all ages, family swim, water aerobics, and many kinds of adaptive swim programs for kids with special needs.

Copley-Price Family YMCA is a proud local partner of the USA Swimming Foundation Make A Splash program.

Child Care at the Y: Call on Us

The YMCA is the nation's leading provider of child care. Playful, engaging options are plentiful for young children at the Y.

  • Child Watch and Kids Club
    • Child Watch and Kids Club is a program where the YMCA provides up to two hours of free supervised playtime in a safe, enriching environment for those with family memberships while they utilize the Y's facilities
    • The hours for Child Watch, for children 6 weeks to 12 years old, are Sundays 9:00 am-12:00 pm, Monday through Friday 7:45 am-1:00 pm and 4:30 pm-8:30 pm, and Saturday 8:00 am-1:00 pm
  • Preschool
    • Copley-Price Family YMCA offers a preschool that is licensed by the State of California

  • Character Builders
    • Character Builders is an on site before and after school program

Camp with the Y: Our Doors Are Open

The YMCA of San Diego County is proud to offer several amazing camps where every child can build confidence and make new friends in a safe and nurturing environment. Members get up to 25 percent off camp registration, and we offer scholarships to families who qualify.

Socialize at the Y: Strengthening Our Community

The Y is a place where you can challenge yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, foster connections with friends through our lifelong learning programs, or bring your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities.

  • Many of our branches across San Diego offer several fun-filled Birthday Party options

Learn, Grow, Thrive

The YMCA offers trainings, workshops, certification programs, and academic enrichment opportunities for people of all ages. 

  • Academic Enrichment: We offer workshops for young people that will satiate their curiosity and increase their skills, like Kids Electronics 101
  • Leadership Development: Y Strong Girls is a teen mentoring program for young women that focuses on physical, mental, and financial wellness
  • Trainings and Workshops: We offer workshops for adults that prove that the YMCA is more than just a gym, like a Parent Workshop on Addressing Challenging Behaviors
  • Certification: The YMCA offers classes to get AHA, OSHA and EMSA certifications in first aid, CPR and AED

Membership and Program Assistance

The YMCA offers financial scholarships to reduce membership and program fees to those that qualify, helping ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

Our scholarship program is based on a sliding fee scale that is designed to fit each family's financial situation, and is available thanks to our generous Annual Campaign donors.
