Seeking a youth development professional to expand our Teen programming and support leadership development.
Job Description
Seeking a youth development professional to expand our high school based youth coalitions, develop and implement leadership skills training for teens, and lay the groundwork for future program expansion.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have at least 2 years of youth/teen program management experience, a strong commitment to character values, and expertise in building relationships with volunteers and community partners. Preferred candidates will have experience with teen/pre-teen program development/management and experience implementing Primary Prevention, 40 Developmental Assets, and/or Positive Culture Framework.
Essential Functions
Essential functions and deliverables include:
- Expand high school based Youth Coaltions
- Implement Teen programming that further develops their leadership skills, enhances their soclal and emotional competencies, and expands their positive influence within our community
- Support and help further develop our Teen employees
- Lay the groundwork for a future restart of Youth and Government
- Build and strengthen relationships with community partners
- Support and engage with Prevention activies and other YMCA programming and activities
