Member Engagement & Wellness Director

YMCA in Trussville, Alabama seeks a Member Engagement & Wellness Director to inspire healthy living and real connection. Join us!
Job Description

At the YMCA of Greater Birmingham, our vision is where community happens and everyone belongs, and few roles bring that to life more than this one. The Member Engagement and Wellness Director leads the team that makes sure every person who walks through our doors, whether they're here for the first time or the thousandth, feels known, welcomed, and cared about.

You'll own the full member experience, recruiting, training, and developing a team that delivers it, building programming that genuinely helps families, seniors, and adults live healthier lives, and managing the budget that makes it all possible. Wellness operations are part of that picture too, led day to day by the Wellness Coordinator, who reports to you. This is a role for someone who leads through their team rather than trying to do it all themselves, who knows their numbers and uses them to make real decisions, and who treats safety and child protection as non-negotiable, every time, no shortcuts.

We're looking for someone with real supervisory experience, a genuine customer service heart, and the ability to build relationships across departments, with donors, and with the community. If you want a job where your leadership directly shapes whether people feel like they belong here, we'd love to talk.
